last time i saw this guy was 6 years ago at msg on the musicology tour. amazing to watch this guy wrap a packed stadium full of people around his finger. still in my opinion the greatest live music experience by a solo artist you can see today, and arguably the best living guitar player there is.

A few months back, The Fader published an intriguing photo featuring two-halves of the Paper Route Gangstaz, Mata and Jhi Ali, in the studio. In the photo, the pair appear to be howling in unison like a pair of timberwolves under a frosty moon. It was a great picture. When I saw that shot, I really wondered what was occurring at that moment to send them into such a collaborative and euphoric celebration. But today, I think I’ve figured it out; I’m nearly positive that those two must have been in the midst of constructing the track “Anutha Night” and were jovially gliding on the subversive and happy-go-lucky Shawn Coleman-sample.

“Anutha Night” is the the first release off of the Huntsville, Alabama crew’s forthcoming mixtape Hood Headlinaz Volume 2-Still Headlinin, their first mixtape since the Diplo and Benzi-powered Fear and Loathing in Hunts Vegas.

Personally, I dig it when rappers rewire power-ballads from the ’70’s and ’80’s (see the Diplomats’ “Built this City” & B.O.B.’s “Your Love”), using their visceral momentum to further pound their points across. PRGz’s “Anutha Night” indeed harnesses bold guitar-chords but also chaotically chops them to smithereens to create a microcosm of the grassroots grind PRGz has been exhibiting since past bangers like “Woodgrain” and “Bama Gettin’ Money.”

If you've been paying attention to @9thwondermusic and @Phontigallo on twitter, some other 'ish is going on from one of the best broken-up hip-hop groups of our time... it's a shame when talented minds can't iron out their differences, but often it's the tension that yields way to some great art (reference damn near every great rock band that broke up). Guess eventually we'll see if that will be the case here, or if the bickering will roll on wasting time without anything worthwhile to be heard. Figure it out guys...

Stalley's hard work ethics and determination have given him the title as an underground champion in the music industry.

Shawn Chrystopher, an independent and resilliant artist on the map, works to deliver the utmost original elements of Hip-Hop sound
with a combination of lyrics that leave listeners blown away. Shawn performs, produces, mixes, and masters all of his own music, thus justifying hthe California native's title as one of the most determined musicians on the scene.

Ambitious and self-made artist, Neako, has been thirsty for a chance to create new themes to rap music since a child.
